Re: Students that do not have their immunization records at their school
Our school district must have student health records up to date to be in compliance with Kansas law. Part of the guidelines state we must be in compliance with the Kansas immunization Law KSA 72-5209. If your child’s immunization documentation is not up to date and on file at the school, your child may be excluded from school.
We are asking all parents to review their immunization records and make sure the school has the proper documentation that all immunizations are up to date.
Our lead nurse Cheryl McAfee, BSN/RN is sending immunization notices to parents/guardians of students that do not have their immunization records up to date. If you receive one of these letters please move quickly and provide the information to our school nurses. If you have questions related to the immunization records please feel free to contact Cheryl McAfee at either the Middle School or High School.
